Art Bell

Dear Art,

I have been a serious listener to your radio program for the past 2
years. I believed in you. By "believe in you" I felt that you brought to
your radio audience interviews and information that was a major tool for
the search for the truth. The truth about our government, the truth
about our origins, the truth about discoveries that are kept from the
public. I really believed you were in this for more than just the money.
I felt you were a courageous investigator who found a way to combine an
intellect for knowledge and a way to make a living. I believed the
living followed because you believed in what you were doing, "your
mission", or "vision" in life.

Unfortunately, after hearing your program Friday night with Dr. Mitchell,
I have come to the conclusion that you do what you do purely out of
self-importance and exploitation. I am disgusted and depressed over this
huge "let down" that you caused by not interviewing Dr. Mitchell
properly. All the effort, all the energy that has been put out by
Richard Hoagland and many others, to present hard proven facts that are
bringing all your audience the truth, was destroyed by you, not Dr.
Mitchell. You allowed Dr. Mitchell to personally attack Richard Hoagland
and the Mars Mission project by calling it a "pseudo science". You did
not defend Richard and his work. In fact, your questions were so mild
and soft pedaled, I felt that you were acting like Dr. Mitchell was God.
Many of the statements made by Mitchell could easily have been addressed
by you since you have a vast knowledge of the subject as a result of
your years of contact with Richard. 


Even if your mind has not picked up enough knowledge over the years, you
had a refresher course the night before. Richard took lots of time to go
over questions to ask Mitchell. I know you took notes. Instead, you
ignored everything Richard said and bowed down to Mitchell. Mitchell lied
to you. Maybe the problem is, you do not know what you believe, maybe
every new kid on the block is your latest hero. In this case Art, you
have performed, and are performing, a great disservice to all of your
audience because they listen to you because they do not believe the main
stream news. This means you have a serious responsibility to your
audience and, most importantly, to Richard Hoagland. You have violated
my trust and the trust of your audience. You have violated the trust and
honor of Richard Hoagland.



I guess it is all about money for you Art. Sad, because you are
receiving the money, but what an empty victory when you cannot take a
stand and support the truth. You must rectify this. You must call
Richard and apologize. You must allow Richard air time on your program
and be prepared to take the heat from Richard in front of your audience.
Only this will fix the problem you created. Only this will prove to me
and many others that you are more than an empty shell that is in it for
the sensationalism. You will probably throw this letter away. I hope
not, but human nature being as it is, I am having a hard time believing
